Our conscious approach to people, the environment and resources
Sustainability means managing existing resources in such a way that future generations will find an environment with the same or better conditions. ViscoTec is committed to this goal and has firmly anchored “sustainability” in its corporate values.
ViscoTec stands firmly on the three pillars of sustainability:
Ecology
To protect and preserve the environment, ViscoTec promotes biodiversity and the health of ecosystems, implements environmentally friendly practices throughout its operations, uses eco-friendly materials and conserves natural resources such as water and energy by investing in renewable energy sources. In addition, ViscoTec proactively contributes to minimizing its carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions. When it comes to environmental issues, the workforce has a representative body at its disposal.

ViscoTec understands social action as supporting employees in such a way that they can achieve the best possible work-life balance. In addition, ViscoTec offers its employees attractive health and sports programs. The company also ensures that diversity, equality and integration are promoted within the organization. This applies to both gender and age equality. As a commercial enterprise, ViscoTec also sees it as its duty to make a social commitment in the region by sponsoring sporting events and functions and making donations to charitable organizations for financial support.

ViscoTec’s top priority is the consistent pursuit of sustainable business practices for long-term profitability. Investing in innovation and technology to increase efficiency and competitiveness and supporting the local economy through responsible procurement and hiring practices are also part of our understanding of sustainability. It goes without saying that we ensure that our partners and suppliers share similar values in terms of sustainability and that ethical business standards and fair trade practices are adhered to by all parties.
We define our corporate success not only by ViscoTec’s economic performance. It is just as important for us to be a role model for sustainability from a social and ecological point of view. Our efforts and successes must be measured by the positive impact we have on our environment.
Environmental Initiatives & Certifications
At the company headquarters and production site in Töging, we record and balance our greenhouse gas emissions and make a voluntary contribution to climate protection in order to compensate for all emissions caused by ourselves and by purchased energy. ViscoTec thus goes far beyond the legal requirements and demonstrates a sense of responsibility through taking action. In recent years, projects from myclimate and char2cool e.V. have been supported.
ViscoTec is particularly proud of our awards in the area of economic growth and family friendliness. The company has already received the Bavaria’s Best 50 award three times: in 2014, 2018 and 2022. ViscoTec made it into the top 20 most family-friendly companies in Bavaria in 2023 and was recognized as “Successful.family-friendly” by the Ministry of Family Affairs.
